The Woman and the Three Princes

 once upon a time...

There was a young woman who married a prince.  They were blessed to have three little princes of their own.  Oh how she adored the little princes and did all that she could to take care of them.  She loved them with all of her heart and so enjoyed spending much time with them playing and watching as they grew into fine young men.  She had a thought one day that she would like to try to home educate them and she did for just that year.  She did not want to bite off more than she could chew, so, she decided to take on the task for one year only and see how it goes.

Well, sixteen years later she is still home educating her children.  Well, child actually since two of the princes are now adults and are off to college.  Her adventure began with a willing yes to hop into a world filled with much love, laughter, and precious time spent together.  Little did she know that she would become a lifelong student as well.  She and her young princes spent thousands of hours reading aloud together and enjoying great stories!  Not only did she instill and nurture a love of story in her princes, but, in herself as well.  She was left with a thirst that has not been quenched and she continues to read story upon story in sheer happiness as the stories have become part of her family.

Nobody ever told her that would happen and it is a truly beautiful thing.

As the woman and her princes grow up, they are all entering into new parts of their lives.  Two of the princes are in college and on the verge of leaving the nest.  There is one precious prince left to share the stories with still and that is truly a blessing as well.

In case you have not figured this out, I am the woman 😊

I am entering a whole new stage of my life and as any parent knows, these stages are very fluid and come upon you as quickly as a torrential downpour in South Carolina, fast and furious!  You just don't see them coming the first time around!

Since I am on child three now, I do see the light at the end of the tunnel.  I do see the day when all of my once little princes will be off on their own.  Although it is a major life change for me, I am excited about what the future holds as well...for all of us!

I started this blog to write.  I want to write and to become a writer of great stories.

I thought if I were to write a little a few times a week, I would learn how to write better.

So, this is my journey to the next stage in life.  It will be interesting to see what the future holds.
